About This Service

In rural Pakistan, education is often the first casualty of poverty. Families struggling to put food on the table cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or books. Many children are pulled out of school to work in fields or shops, perpetuating a cycle of poverty that spans generations.

Khurram Welfare Society is committed to breaking this cycle. Our education program operates on multiple levels — from providing basic school supplies to offering scholarships for higher education.

Every year before the academic session begins, we distribute comprehensive school supply kits to underprivileged students. Each kit includes textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and a school bag. For many children, these are the first new school supplies they have ever owned.

Our scholarship program identifies academically talented students from low-income families and provides financial support for their continued education. We cover tuition fees, examination fees, and essential materials. Several of our scholarship recipients have gone on to attend college and university.

We place special emphasis on girls' education. In many rural communities, girls are kept out of school due to cultural norms or financial constraints. We work with families and community leaders to change mindsets, demonstrating the long-term benefits of educating girls for the entire community.

Our volunteer-run tutoring centers provide free after-school support, helping students who may not have educated family members at home to guide their studies. These centers have become safe spaces for learning and personal growth.

How It Works

Needs Identification

We work with local schools to identify students who cannot afford education expenses and are at risk of dropping out.

Before each academic year, we distribute school kits with books, uniforms, and stationery to registered students.

Scholarship Awards

Merit-based scholarships are awarded to talented students from low-income families after a transparent selection process.

Our Impact

Over 200 students have received educational support through our programs. Our scholarships have enabled 50+ students to continue their education beyond what their families could afford. Most importantly, we've seen a measurable increase in school enrollment and retention rates in our target communities.
